5 Locally-Produced Beverages You Have to Try in Palisade, Colorado

If you show up to Palisade thirsty, you’ll be a happy traveler. With nearly 30 wineries, a brewery, a distillery, three hard-cider makers, and a kombucheria, you’ll need several trips to drink your way through town.

To help you get started, we put together a few of our favs:

Colomosa – Talbott’s Cider Company

Day drinking on the river? Sunday morning vibes? Brunch on the brain? Talbott’s Colomosa is a cider-based mimosa in a can, made with orange juice and lime. At 5.5% ABV, it’s as easy-drinking and versatile as they come, appropriate any time of day, either as a mid-morning treat or an afternoon thirst-quencher.

NSFW White Wine – Carlson Vineyards

This white wine is dubbed Not Safe For Work (NSFW) for many reasons, but the two most important are that it’s 1) clean/easy drinking and 2) just $12 a bottle! If you’re looking to hit the brakes on your spending but still hang out with a quality wine, try this delightful white from Carlson Vineyards. It tastes even better when you’re sitting on the vineyard’s outdoor patio, under the shade of the trees.

Soul Shakin’ Imperial Red – Palisade Brewery

Is your soul ready to dance and sway? This 7.5% ABV core offering from Palisade Brewery has the bold, caramelized flavor of the red style but is “aggressively” hopped like an IPA, balancing its flavors and enhancing its drinkability. It’s a must try!

Gin Ricky – Peach Street Distillery

When was the last time you had a grape soda? Well, throw a little gin in there on a Saturday afternoon and relive childhood. Peach Street Distillery mixes up this cool-off cocktail with its house-made Jackelope Gin, finished with fresh lime, best enjoyed on the patio.

Peach Kombucha – Palisade Kombucha

Yeah, you knew you weren’t getting off the hook, right? Our flagship Peach Kombucha is made with local peaches from the Palisade Peach Shack, and it’s a refreshing, bubbly non-alcoholic option with a clean, tangy finish. Exceptionally good when paired with sunshine.
